And, while I’m not quite ready to see clients one-on-one for sessions, I have been inspired to design a beautiful offering this summer. It’s my creative way to build bonds in our Reiki community; inspire your practice with the elements of nature, AND be outside in my backyard freely, unmasked and in sacred circle together! A Journey with Plant Spirit Reiki
One of the curiously beautiful gifts that came out of the last 18 months was a few new friendships made in online circles. Fay Johnstone, author of Plant Spirit Reiki, is one of those lovely beings. I remember a mutual friend of ours saying, “I want to connect you with someone. I think you might like her, a lot.” And, indeed, it is so.
Fay shares my three great loves: Reiki, Shamanism, and communing with the Plant Kingdom. With similar training, passion and professional work, we felt an immediate bond. Fay is authentic, thoughtful, deeply connected to nature, a strong and clear channel, relatable, and very funny. Originally from England, she currently resides on a beautiful piece of land in Scotland.
While reading her book, I constantly found myself with a grin on my face. We share the same approach to teaching, blending the very practical (mindful journaling, practitioner techniques, etc.) and the deeply spiritual. We even cover a lot of the same basics in our work. After my last conversation with Fay recently, I thought, “I should do a book club with Fay’s book for Reiki practitioners!”
And, so the offering was born.
With a very personal tone, Plant Spirit Reiki is a hands-on guide, filled with wonderful ways for Reiki practitioners (or really anyone who enjoys Reiki and plants!) to learn a variety of new techniques to work with the natural world and Reiki, to inspire your personal practice and your Reiki profession.

This extraordinary book club, A Journey with Plant Spirit Reiki, will take place over the course of two weeks:
July 10th to July 24th.
We start on the 10th, by creating our energetic container with an in-person ceremony filled with connection; Reiki; sacred activities; and an immersion with the plants in my beautiful backyard space. Then, we journey through the book on our own (or by the suggested one chapter a day outline) … connecting and sharing through a Private Facebook Page - a place to share personal or professional insights and comments. On the 23rd (full moon)…we’ll have a Zoom call with author Fay Johnstone - a meditation and Q & A. Then, on the last day, the 24th, we cap off this extraordinary book club with a final fire ceremony at my house for more connection, activities and Plant Spirit Reiki magic.

Sacred Circle Opening (Live Event) - July 10th, 2021, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm (note time change!)
Meditation/Q & A with Fay (Zoom) - July 23rd, 2021, 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Closing Fire Ceremony, (Live Event) - July 24th, 2021, 7:30 - 10:30 pm
Reading/Journaling with Book Prompts & Meditations on your own.
Read one chapter a day, excluding the weekend, from July 11th – July 22nd day OR do the work with the book at your own pace, according to your schedule. - Read outside; read in a hammock, read while camping! Enjoy the pleasure of holding a book in your hand, and not reading off of a screen!
What’s included in A Journey with Plant Spirit Reiki:
- Learning to work with plant spirit allies.
- Integrating chakra work and healing with the elements.
- Offering Plant Spirit Reiki treatments in your practice.
