Judith Maxey
Owner, Practitioner Almus Energy Medicine
Judith has been practicing energy medicine for over 15 years. She is an experienced and certified Usui/Holy Fire® and Karuna Reiki® master teacher, mentor, shamanic practitioner, meditation guide and essential oil specialist. In 2023, she also became a certified End-of-Life Doula.
Prior to opening Almus Energy Medicine, Judith worked extensively in medical settings, as a volunteer for the Northwest Reiki Association. There she gave complimentary Reiki sessions to patients at the Compass Oncology West's infusion unit, and to patients on the Providence Acute Rehabilitation Floor in Portland, Oregon. Judith specializes in Reiki as complementary medicine, and Reiki for personal growth, working with each client on a holistic level-body, mind and spirit.
With the guiding philosophy that "everything is energy", Judith's current practice incorporates her master level Reiki training; chakra balancing; Core Shamanism; guided meditation and essential oils. Combining intuition and years of training, she listens to the messages provided by each person's own inner wisdom. She and her clients work synergistically towards balance, inspiration, healing, and vitality.
A student of various forms of energy medicine, Judith brings her heart and intuition to each session, class and ceremony. With a kind and compassionate nature, she intends for every encounter to be a connection of the hearts, and is ultimately guided by the innate wisdom of the client or student. She lovingly holds space for each person to step into their "healing" journey at their own pace.
Judith offers individual energy sessions and private and group Reiki classes. She also shares her professional wisdom in a 12-week mentorship course, FLOURISH: Becoming a Reiki Practitioner. Deeply connected to nature and the elements, her work with the plant spirits has taken form in her Plant Speak Courses, a new online course series, for the doTERRA community.
Judith’s journey into alternative health and traditional healing practices began while pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Anthropology, with an emphasis on Health and Culture. Her lifelong interest in the human experience has inspired her to live, travel and study abroad in a variety of places, including South Korea, Southern Mexico, Alaska, and various countries in South America and Western Europe. Judith believes that healing into our true self is the best way to bring peace and healing to the individual, and to the world at large. She is passionate about helping others with their deep, inner evolution, as humanity enters the next step of planetary revolution (the Age of Aquarius), filled with greater receptivity, compassion and spiritual peace.
